Great result yesterday against Birmingham in the Carling Cup! I didn't see it, but from the articles I've read, sounds like it's the best Saints have looked in the past couple years.

Also a couple exciting young loan signings in Jack Cork from Chelsea and Tomas Pekhart from Tottenham. I would've preferred that these were permanent signings instead of loans, of course, but this news still makes me happy. I love that Saints are going the inexpensive, young, high potential player route right now. The problem with the majority of their first team being under 22 y/o is that they're bound to have some experience and growing pains, but damn, at least they're playing attractive football and it's exciting to support them again as they get stronger.

McGoldrick was the scorer, wasn't he? I thought Lallana's shot went off the crossbar and McGoldrick put in the rebound.

Anyway, good win for Saints. I have a feeling any wins, especially ones away from home, are going to feel like gold when it comes to the anxiety of the last few weeks of the season.
